Giovanni Gunawan was the first speaker on the Guest Lecture Series held by Architecture Department at Petra Christian University, Surabaya. He shares his experience in designing the winning proposal for Silaban Monument Design Competition, held by Ikatan Arsitek Indonesia (IAI) in association with Kementrian Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat (PUPR). This winning proposal entitled 'Emper Silaban'.

BGNR Architects team aims to create a monument that's not only about Friedrich Silaban's success story, but a museum that reflects all his frailties, struggles, failures, and happiness as well. We believe that the true reflection of Silaban's life should be seen clearly in this building.
